We have officially entered November, and for most of us in business we are launching , showing out, and pushing our business forward . And… even if you don’t have a ” product ” to sell , remember in your personal brand YOU are the product that you’re selling to your audience!

Being consistent on what you want to achieve, accomplish, and being the answer in your industry, market and company .
For the month of November I decided to Focused on being ” Sole Out” ( Focused on Stepping Into Your Authentic Authority, and treating your brand like a Holiday ” With the holidays rapidly approaching, I thought of all the things we do to prepare for Thanksgiving, Black Friday , Your birthday, Kids Birthday, Jesus Birthday, ….etc ..
You get where I’m going … lol
But seriously…
We plan, pick outfits, make pinterest boards, we screenshot images , recruit people to join in on our craziness, and we talk about that ONE day for days , weeks and if you’re a true DIVA you celebrate the whole month (lol)!
That’s exactly how you should be representing your personal brand!!!
You should have pinterest boards, vision boards, planners, promotional material, banners, hats, TV and anything you need to discuss, promote, and get someone to take notice of YOU!
Be your own brand ambassador! You have to be excited , motivated, and passionate about what you’re trying to promote, launch, and promote, with a drive to get the mission accomplished ! There are tons of people who are very passionate about what they do and maybe they don’t show it like you do, remember YOU have to be you . If you’re the strong silent celebrater , but visuals are your thing , you’re going to celebrate completely different from the very OPEN, PROUD, & LOUD. I am sis, sis is me. I love the grand gesture, communication, details , and delivery of presentation and gifts LOL You might be a mixture of both. Maybe more spiritual or creative than others. USE IT! That’s what people love to see . Different spaces for different phases of people .
Holidays have meaning . Remember why you started .
Traditional change, we grow as people , we have our differences but at the end of the day , we want to belong to a community , cause, and be a part of a bigger mission than us. As the leader of your personal brand . You have to be the biggest advocate for what you feel like you’re here to do. You are voicing a problem , miscommunication,misinformed ,unchecked behavior, false thinning , or poor performance of a community, culture, or within an industry. You have to be what you stand for!
Let’s be honest , building a personal brand takes time, money , planning , and really pushing yourself out in the world to be a solution to a much needed problem that you have taken the responsibility to solve.
While everyone has a personal brand, everyone hasn’t taken the time , they don’t have the dedication, and they haven’t built the confidence to stand out. Online or off .
Why ? Mostly because of the functions I mentioned above, and because everyone can’t stay consistent in speaking, doing , and being consistent on what they believe in . That’s why this monthly layout helps you stay encouraged, think of ways to communicate your mission, and remember you have a purpose and problem to solve.
So let’s get to it !!
Holidays are experiences. Memorable memories, good or back . Stressful, exhausting ,or exciting. All holidays have some main things in common. 1. Something extremely emotional happened, good or back and you have a memory around it. 2. Holidays mean different things to different people in different places. We all know what Christmas is, but many cities, cultures, and countries all have different versions of Santa Clause , traditional, dress, etc….
You get my point (lol)! 3. Money. Need I say more ! Lol
McDonald’s, The NFL, Beyonce, Rihanna,Disney..
All these brands have themes, celebrations, traditions, and values that support what they do and what they believe in .
Even down to Martin Luther King Jr who has a National Holiday named after him .

Sole Out (Treat Your Personal Brand Like A Holiday)
- What do you believe in? What are you celebrating! What can someone quote about your personal brand?
Yes people have to know you, like you, and trust you but how does that happen? They first have to know what you believe in ! What are you taking a stand for or what do you stand against ?
It doesn’t matter where you’re at in the world , everyone knows what day Christmas is. From gifting , saving all year, lights, games, decor, and family expectations . Christmas has a universal message and belief . Growing up I used to hear “ Everyone should be with family on Christmas”. From Lifetime movies, CBS specials, and Religious Beliefs they all state what THIS holiday means to them. Even public figure “ Rachel Rogers’ ‘ has coined the phrase “ All Women Should Be Millionaires” . Hearing the title alone you can imagine what her holiday would look like and believe in the phrase alone.. Tell us the feeling behind why your brand is important . What’s the history of your personal brand ? Christmas as mentioned before can be celebrated easily in any culture because of the foundational story that they have told about the holiday and what it means. Your personal brand believes in something . Tell us what it is.
2.Say it in color, style, and dress code. What does your brand image communicate!
When Valentine’s Day comes around , well before the New Year really starts , the shopping aisles are filled with pink, red, white chocolates, decor , and balloons. Clothing stores stock up on sexy lingerie, flower shops prepare all year for this one day ( cause Roses are the flower for the day), and restaurants are pre booked ( most women feel like if you don’t romance them for Valentine’s Day, then the relationship won’t work so most men have been know to pre schedule for the day) or book the day weeks ahead. Just like in your personal brand , what colors, behaviors, or style can your customers expect from you.
Studies show that 61% of women are stressed around the holidays . With the planning, decorating, invitations , shopping and family gathering . It feels like working her 9-5, side job, and a part time job. That’s exactly what building a personal brand CAN feel like, if you don’t plan, rethink, and outline expectations . That same study described the lack of communication, planning and assuming women also make around the holidays to carry all the weight .
Not to scare you, but building your business of YOU, is still a business, and you can quickly feel this way.
2a.Use visuals and symbols : Valentine’s day is known for roses, cupid, hearts and the color of RED! Promotion, consistent placement , and communicating using your visuals is a huge key to making sure everyone knows what to expect if they can see what you do, or what you ar5e about . Most flower shops around the holidays order earlier, have back up local deliveries, and presentations set aside for their last min clients. Why do people want red roses, not pink, or yellow? Red! Valentines would be Vday without it. What color is a part of your personal brand ?
Your personal brand has to have a trust factor, people have to SEE what to expect! So like Valentine’s Day, how many ways can you use your colors, designs, to communicate your deep passion, love, and appreciation , fun, creative , and authentic self
3. Present Yourself . What’s your value and how do you give it?
Who doesn’t like to give gifts or be given a gift? While many people wouldn’t look at Thanksgiving as a gift giving holiday, I believe it is! From family gatherings , Black Friday the day after, and eating all day ( we can seriously stop here in my opinion ) Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks for the people around you! What value are you giving in your personal brand? When do you consistently have a sale, customer appreciation, or a loyalty program? Your community should know what value ( beside the consistent information you give) you offer them! Whether it’s a 2 for 1, half off on Fridays, or referral program, people love to talk about how they feel recognized , appreciated, and valued . Let your audience know why you are giving them this gift, your hopes when they received it and how they can keep getting more of it .
3a. Time to do BTS work : schedule , plan, consistent communication
Having a schedule of when you want to release, for how long, and how to play and play.Also it pre-pre-prepares your audience a guide of what to expect, how to best get the experience, and it helps with the stress . Earlier VIP access, long standing relationships, and long time clients can help maintain the relationship by pre-selling access. Especially waitlists, last minute specials , or a long wait for what you have to give. Your brand image is formed by what your audience sees from you, how you communicate it, how often, and when you do it. If your audience only hears from you so often, it’s hard to trust you. We are social people. As much as we love surprises, we also love to know what’s happening with BTS with people and brands.
Really imagine if your personal brand or company was a holiday ! Imagine how excited you would be to talk to your audience, post content , plan , create products and expand the experience ?
Extremely excited right ?!What deals, products, or services can your audience , clients , and fans expect from you ? How would you develop the experience with them even more ?
Picturing yourself as a holiday has more to do with the importance , awareness and WHO you are helping with your personal brand .
Remember while every holiday has things in common, they are all different , serve a different purpose and have a different expectation , and experience . Just like you as a brand , you might do similar things , market similar , and could even have brand colors that are close to another brand . What matters is how you communicate , show up, and go all out for your personal brand and business for your community, audience and client . Make it a whole Holiday boo!

I listened to this sermon at the start of this week and I have been super excited about my future. As a personal brand, my spirituality is what helped me balance my mental health, family, life perspective, and is a huge part of my personal and business ethics. Depending on your industry , it can be demanding , overwhelming, stressful, context driven, and your life is a huge part of your brand, so having a place or practice to balance your life is so needed.
Self care isn’t a day, put a practice we all need to live by. So again stay encouraged boo. This is a journey and we are in this for life. Have an impactful November !!
