Hey boo , Hey…

So let me talk about myself for a quick second.  So what had happened was…

I said I wasn’t going to do a blog post anymore cause I have so much to do… and guess what.. .. here I am … Writing ??

I recently watched a tik tok motivational video clip with Kevin Hart saying…..” If We Start Something, We Will Finish It’!

Hit me like a ton of bricks !!

Did you feel attacked ?

Cause I sure as HELL did when I heard it! Lol

When we start something we finish it!!

I have no idea why these words hit so hard , and so close to home . Transparently , and maybe you can relate .

But , you come up with a dope idea , maybe too outside of the box . So you try and fit it in , then you hate it, then you stop .

Cause after all , it’s just an idea , and no one is watching and they don’t care anyway right?!

But after this statement, I started to think about how far I feel l could’ve, would’ve and should be  done in the line of life.

As soon as something didn’t work the way I saw fit , when I wanted it, I would stop .

Honestly, I stopped because I felt like I was going too much .

Seriously.

Sometimes we get so focused on what someone else is going that we lose sight of how dope we are . What we like about us , and the strength,  smarts , wisdom, and vision we have to make it in this life.

This whole weekend was just such a mindset transformation. After watching a sermon from Bishop TD Jakes which I’m posting here:

He preached on being your Authentic self .

While this whole month is absolutely about “Making Up Yourself ” Being authentic on and off social media, after the tik tok clip, and the Sunday sermon… I was beyond motivated to be more honest with myself.

Like I stated earlier, I FELT like I was doing too much for “they ” ….

Girl , idk who “they is ” and clearly ” they” been talking for awhile….

But after I did some reflecting…

What is going ” too much “?

Especially in regards to how you show up, how you present yourself , and how you go about  executing your life’s mission?

I had to be honest with myself.  I’ve always done too much. I love to design, I love how it feels when you create, I love connecting with people , and I love thinking ahead  about new  problems to solve .

And it then hit me , no different from marketing …

You have to be around, create, and perform for your people .

Past the surface level of what you see , your market , audience, tribe , and people have an issue that you solve , that you see a way forward , or that you can develop a system or structure to bring order and balance too.

For those people, you will be everything!

Cause here’s the thing, don’t we ALL think GREAT people do too much ?!

From actresses, politicians, to performers and down to your co-worker … they all do too much…and one of the two things happens

1. They are remembered
2. Or the one’s who stuck at their job and you hear people tell them ” Girl, the  best job for you would be in …”

Why?

Because we see it in people.  Places that are too big and jobs that are too small for the big role they are born to play in life.

So back to you . What are you playing safe , small, and shrinking back for ?

What about you are you suppressing inside just to keep people outside of you happy, and comfortable because truthfully you know they already don’t like you?!  And if you keep following this same path , how would you honestly be able to look in the mirror and respect yourself?

For the longest I would try to not be ” too hype” or “too excited ” , don’t be ” too creative ” …

But that’s who I am !!!

I wake up hype , I go to sleep acting out my dreams, and I create even when I don’t want to because it makes sense to me .

It makes me the best version of me .

Just like you ! What are you holding back from starting, not finishing, or not releasing cause you thought you were doing too much? Or someone was going to think you just ” want attention “?

What are you avoiding finishing to the end cause it’s different from everyone around you?

Why are you afraid of being great at something?

Why are you still holding yourself back?

So boo, on this Mindset Monday Makeover . How can you start looking at yourself ( in your personal brand) differently   when it’s time to show up ?

If you’re in business , personal or business brand… guess who does need to show up for attention, for their audience, and in their business ?! Guess who’s responsible for living out that role, function, and vision for the company they see in the world?

YOU!

You’re the one who has to be proud of yourself and what you did . #ThisIsPersonalBranding

I remember being younger and couldn’t wait to grow up . I was going to do everything I was told I couldn’t do when I was a child.

As grown women it’s so crazy how many of us keep the same thoughts, the fears, and shame we carried as a child .

We can no longer be that girl anymore, we have to NOW be the leader SHE needed us to be , that SHE was then as a child , and that you wished to BE NOW!

No longer can you wait for someone to tell you to go, it’s now time for you to own who you are, boldly step out and push forward.

So happy Mindset Monday Gorgeous! Well behaved women  don’t make history.
